Wedding Pictures

First. The RING!
The grooms two sisters and niece. If you look really close, there is a shot of the cake in the back to the left. Beautiful cake. I absolutely loved it.

Me, the groom and the grooms dad. Emily made all the flowers we were were wearing by the way. And her bouquet.

The bride and her mom

The bride and groom. I love the way Emily's dress is blowing in the breeze in this picture. It was so cold and and windy that day. It was miserable weather for the girls wearing summer dresses, (the guys loved it by the way, seeing as how they were all dressed up in their tuxes. They were glad it was cold and windy:) but the wind made for some really pretty pictures. Emily's mom made her dress by the way. I thought she did a great job. I'll try to add more pictures of the wedding later, but here's what I have so far. For some reason, it's only letting me upload five pictures?

More Dresses

Here are some more dresses. Sorry the pictures are positioned the way they are. I didn't know they were going to do that when I posted them.

This dress right here is BY FAR my most favorite. There is just something about it.

Me Post Surgery

Here are some pictures of Hiney and me at the Lincoln Museum in Springfield. Daughter # 2 was attending a bridal shower that day with soon to be DIL and we decided to keep SIL occupied while she was away. We had a good time at the museum. We were getting ready to leave the museum when we stopped at the gift shop. Hiney saw this mask of Abraham Lincoln and decided to ham it up. I think it suits him. What do you think? I think he would make a nice president, don't you?
By far, this was my favorite room in the place. It was the White House years and as you enter the White House, the first room you come to as you enter is full of absolutely beautiful dresses. Technically, I wasn't supposed to be taking these and there are other dresses I want to show you, (I'm still trying to figure out this whole posting pictures on my bloggity thing you know:) but I wanted to go on ahead and show you this picture. Go on ahead. Click on it. It's so much prettier when you click on it. As are the other dresses. Just absolutely BEAUTIFUL dresses.
And here is a picture of me, Hiney, and SIL #1 at the entrance. We had the guy take this picture as we were leaving. See the guy, I mean the "figure,":) standing in the background to the left, leaning on the railing? Guess who that is? That is John Wilkes Boothe. You know, the guy who shot the president. The guy who took the picture wanted to make sure he got JWB in the picture because as he put it, "That's what it's all about you know."

Here is a picture of me after my surgery and after I got my bandages off. Looks pretty gross, huh? I am not kidding you when I say I almost threw up. And when the nurse was taking my stitches out, let's just say I didn't like it. She hurt me. But I forgive her:) I know she was just doing her job. As she was leaving after taking my stitiches out she just kind of looked at me and I said, "Don't worry, I know where the trash can is." She may have given me a small smile when I said that. I don't know. I was still seeing stars.

At any rate, we had a good time this week. The Lincoln Museum was great. (We do love our son in law:) Our son is getting married. Our daughter is home with her husband for a week, and I now have my bandages off.

hereis a youtube video of me coming off the anaestesia after having carpal tunnel surgery. I think it's funny. Just type in the words "anaesthesia girl" and click on the one that says 'Lady in hospital talking to husband after surgery.
